1. Business and program
Slate Booking is operated by JR HECTOR GONZALEZ, a computer science student building booking software to help his cousin Ramon, a tattoo artist, stay organized and grow his business.
JR HECTOR GONZALEZ (Slate Booking) sends low-volume transactional SMS to clients who request appointments and to the artist or authorized studio staff who separately provide and verify a mobile number. This program does not send marketing or promotional messages.
This page is public SMS program documentation for carrier review. It does not collect opt-ins and does not require a login. The live client opt-in form is https://slatebooking.app/squshy. Artist sign-in lives at /login.

3. How clients opt in
Clients opt in on the public request form at https://slatebooking.app/squshy. A phone number field and a separate SMS consent checkbox appear on the contact step. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is not required to submit the request.

Existing appointments: client ticket opt-in
An artist can save an existing appointment without enrolling the client in texts. The client receives their private appointment ticket by email, or the artist shares the ticket through an existing conversation. No unsolicited text is sent to ask for consent. Entering a client's number is contact information, not consent on their behalf.
The private ticket at /booking/[token] opens without an account. In the optional Text updates section, the client enters their number, reads the disclosure, checks the initially unchecked box and selects Enable text updates. They can view and manage their appointment without opting in. A prior STOP remains in effect.
Public evidence only, not an enrollment form. Actual ticket links are private, appointment-scoped and expire after seven days. Consent records include the exact disclosure, number, appointment, source and timestamp.
4. How artists opt in
Artist alerts are optional and live behind authenticated Slate settings. Because that screen requires a login, the complete consent UI is hosted publicly below for reviewers. The artist enters a mobile number, reads the disclosure, and actively selects Send code. Slate texts a six-digit code and enables alerts only after the artist verifies that code. Email sign-in remains available.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
